April 2011 / EMP blog for ARP

Final reflections on my Action Research Project:

The unexpected results and failed ARP Cycle 1 have inspired me to continue in searching for a solution (or at least a specific and insightful definition of the problem) to the challenges of graphic designers struggling to learn and understand and apply technical code in their creative work, which is an unavoidable necessity in this digital arena.

Looking towards the future, my Action Research Project submission to the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) will be tailored to their specific publication criteria and submitted after graduation from Full Sail for consideration to be published for their 64th Annual Technical conference in March 2012.

As further projects to fulfill this goal, I plan to work with O?Reilly Media and their Head First Labs to publish learning materials in a brain-friendly format on the topics of XML and Scripting for the Adobe Creative Suite. I will also approach Video-to-Brain as an instructor to develop visual training materials on these topics.
